Shelf

Terms of service

Last updated 10 September 2026

Who you are agreeing with

Shelf is operated by AutoValue Limited, a company registered in Nigeria (RC 9739878). Using Shelf means agreeing to what is on this page.

What Shelf is

Software for a shop to keep its stock, prices and sales, and to answer customer messages from Instagram using those prices and counts. It is a tool the shop operates. It is not a shop, not a payment processor, and not a party to anything a shop sells.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in, so keep the password to yourself. Staff you add get the access their role allows, and removing someone is immediate. Everything a member of staff does is recorded against them — that is the point of the product, and it applies to you too.

You must be entitled to run the business you are recording, and to connect the Instagram account you connect.

What Amber says to your customers

Shelf can draft and send replies from the prices and counts you entered. If those are wrong, the reply is wrong. A price sent to a customer in writing is your shop's promise, not ours, and you are responsible for it.

By default a person taps send. Automatic replies are a setting you turn on deliberately, and turning it on does not move that responsibility.

Your data is yours

Your products, prices, counts, sales, customers and messages belong to you. We store and process them so Shelf works, as described in the privacy policy. We do not sell them and we do not use them to advertise to anybody.

You can ask for a copy or for deletion at any time. The software itself — the code, the design, the name — stays ours.

Money

Where a plan is paid, the price and what it includes are shown before you pay. Stopping is a decision you make; we do not lock a shop's records behind an unpaid invoice.

Where Shelf confirms a payment, the money moves through your own payment provider and into your own account. We never hold it.

Things outside our control

Shelf depends on Meta, and Meta can change its rules, its permissions or its pricing without asking us. If Instagram messaging becomes unavailable or changes shape, we will say so plainly rather than pretend.

Shelf is provided as it is. We work to keep it correct and available, and we do not promise it will never be down or never be wrong. Where something goes wrong, our responsibility is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can stop using Shelf whenever you like and ask for your data back or deleted. We may suspend an account that is being used to break the law, to abuse customers, or to attack the service — and we will tell you why.

Which law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes start with an email — support.shelfamber@gmail.com — because most of them end there too.
